My father, James Moran, started PSMI in 1986, after a successful NFL career with the NY Giants. From 1985-1993 I accompanied him to the annual sports agent meeting because he negotiated my deals with the Green Bay Packers, for whom I played for nine years.

I grew up in Pleasanton, California, where NFLPA Executive Director Gene Upshaw lived. His influence facilitated my interest in the NFLPA and becoming our team's union rep. I assisted in the negotiations of the historic 1993 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) that was extended multiple times through the 2010 season.

Upon my father's untimely death at age 57, I transitioned the company from an emphasis on scoreboard advertising to primarily Player representation. Dad bequested stock in his closely held S corp to my majority holding, which I focused on progressing the company towards accomplishing the goals of the Athlete. - Rich Moran, #57
